Like I said yesterday, I will not post political opinions on my blog. However, given the current state of turmoil in wake of the election, I feel like that leaves me unable to say much at all today. I’ve made the choice not to share what I think, but in doing so, I don’t want to seem disrespectful or nonchalant about one of the most historic elections in our country’s history. By posting something completely irrelevant to the election, I risk seeming disinterested. Thus, I’ll just say this:
God is good. All the time. No matter how you feel at the moment, He will always prevail in love, righteousness, and forgiveness.
Our behavior as individuals is the most influential way to live in the kind of world we want to live in, so be kind, generous, helpful, and humble. I point you to yesterday’s post for a short, practical list of ways to be those things.
Don’t let hate breed hate. Don’t let fear breed fear. Don’t let pride breed pride.
Respect is different than agreement. Be respectful, both if you’re happy with the results and if you’re upset by them.
I really can’t think of anything else to say that wouldn’t make this post about my own opinions, so I’m going to make it a short one today and sign off. Some of you are feeling just fine today, but for those who aren’t, I leave you with this picture of Noma from her first vet appointment yesterday, because she’s really cute.
